Birthday Bash

The birthday bash was so much fun last night! This morning (after only 4 1/2 hours of sleep) I feel so blessed to have such thoughtful and wonderful friends. I'm still gathering pictures of the party from Rochelle and Katri, but in the meantime here are some of the things I've been working on this week to get ready for the party.


Rochelle and I filled a pinata with jewelry, book marks, and lots of yummies! Here are the goodie bags I made to put their loot in. (The label is the first pic on this post.)

I made some "Shoot Yeah!" key chains out of shrinky-dinks to go into the pinata. For those of you who haven't had a verbal conversation with me, I say that a lot. ;)


I also made these beaded bookmarks. They are so easy and fun to make. I always feel so girly and cute when I'm reading a book with a fun bookmark. I've put the instructions on how to make these on ExecutiveHomemaker.com, click here. They make great gifts and are fun to add to a lesson hand out.



Rochelle and I are proud of our age and decided to own it! ;)

I have never really had a big B-day bash before. My bday is so close to Christmas people are too poor, too tired and too busy. Maybe I should start celebrating it in the summer:)

LOVE it! How fun!! And creative (no surprise there). Wish I could've been there to join in on the fun.
BTW finally I finished the tags for your boys and they are getting sent. Sorry for the delay.
Can't wait to see more pics. And I agree with someone on some comment that asked, "do you EVER take a bad picture??" You and Rochelle look fabulous!

I still can't get over how much work you guys put into your own party. I thought when it was your birthday you got to sit back and relax? It does like your guest made out like bandits though! Can't wait to see more pics.

How Fun!!! Own that age! It's funny...I think I am having more fun now then I did when I was younger! Oh- and looks- much improved- Hee Hee!

Craft Closet Make Over

I've finally done it. After 2 years of living in this house, I've finally finished organizing the last closet in my home. This is the guest room closet that doubles as my "craft" closet. You could barely consider it a walk-in closet, but with 2 new shelves my man built for me over the weekend, it's got just enough space for what I need. Closet Before Closet Before - complete chaos ! After - view from hall (I used a different camera because mine is still broken. It was so hard to get these pics the space is so small. I hope you can get the idea.) Small shelf with hanging space for guests clothes - just above the door that goes to the attic. I spray painted 2 of these tins pink and glued flowers onto the other 3. Top Shelf Middle, 2 new shelves that Jason made and I painted white. I added these "curtains" to cover the other white bins and to make the space less messy. 1 Year Blogiversary

I can't believe it, as of Tuesday, I have been blogging for one year! On the outside not much has changed: I have 3 boys, live in the same house, my man has the same job, and I still go to Mavens, book club, and dinner club with the same fab friends.
