A Fabulously Flawed Life

7 years ago I had this dream to have a website called Executive Homemaker . I had it meticulously planned out in my head and on paper. It took a year of coding & designing and finally my dream became a reality a little after Drake was born. Since then I've discovered blogging and a much easier, way to inspire women. The problem with having a website is that you need a webmaster. It's all very complicated and having one character out of place can bring down an entire page. Currently, we're having problems with Executive Homemaker and so I asked Jason to take down the entire site. Honestly, I didn't think anyone would care. I don't do anything really to market it and it's just hanging out there on the web. We'll, to my surprise I've been getting tons of hate mail. Yes Ladies, apparently people are having up coming birthday parties and NEED my transformer bingo and star wars bingo files. People are also unsubscribing because they are angry that the sit...

I want to thank you guys for your patience while Executive Homemaker was down. It was hacked with a virus along with 30,000 other websites. The virus corrupted the data and then my server backed up the corrupted data. It was a mess! I feel terrible for those of you who were planning birthday parties and needed summer schedules and they weren't available. It looks like Executive Homemaker is fully up and running now so you should be able to print out everything you need, free of course. I did loose a little bit of data and I'll do my best to re-post those few items over the next couple weeks. It was awful for me to see something I've worked so hard on the past 2 years corrupted in one afternoon. I'm over the shock and am grateful there wasn't more damage. Monday night we started baking our treats for our Phantom goody plate. Every year we print out one of our Phantom poems on orange paper, and start the fun tradition of delivering treats to 3-4 families in the ring and run fashion. I always let the boys pick who our victims are going to be. ;) This year I was a bit ambitious on our cupcakes. The directions sounded easy enough. Oh well, ours look more like m ohawked zombies but we had a fun time making them. Davis always has a plan of attack, start on the side of the house! It took us a couple houses, but by the last one Davis waited to ring the doorbell until Dylan was ready to run. Crazy kid! ;) Meanwhile, Drake had a chocolate pretzel stick dipped in red sprinkles. This is what I saw when I looked back to check on him. My 13 year old turned into vampire!

I bought this tankini from Layers Clothing this year and I've just gotta rave, I love it! As some of my friends know, I try to take Fridays off. No housework, no taxiing around town, no cooking. I usually hang out in the media room and watch movies all day but today my man had the day off as well. So, I got to sleep in, he bought me Chipotle for lunch, and we started designing the Tip Junkie blog . I had hoped we’d finish it by this afternoon but of course we’re having ASP script problems. I am so excited to add more amazing products to the store. I met Lindsey, who owns Bumblebeebaby Boutique, at a community event here in Keller. We connected instantly! She sells these amazing diaper cakes (with stuffed animals, toys, binki's, etc in them), I spy bags, burpees and tag blankets. Give me a day or two to add all her products!

Everyone has a story and a reason for why they make big commitments in life. This is my story of why I created Executive Homemaker . I’ve owned the domain name for almost 5 years. After a year of searching for the right “look and feel”, another year and a half of constant design, and a chunk of money, I officially launched Executive Homemaker (EH) in February 2007. There are many reasons I wanted to do this but the main two are 1) I wanted to help women earn an income and 2) I feel like if you have a great tip or idea you should share it! My mom is extremely talented. She can do anything from sewing a wedding dress, to painting a mural, or creating a flower arrangement. However, growing up we really struggled financially. As many talents as she had, she didn’t know how to charge people for her products and certainly didn’t know how to market herself and her product.
