Conversing with a 3 year old

Every other Monday, I have the privilege of a play date with Emily. She's 3 and so fun and sassy. I absolutely eat it up! She's an excellent conversationalist, yep even better than my 9 year old. She has the best giggle's and is such a happy little girl.

Here's one of our conversations we had today:

Emily: "Where's your daughter?"

Me: "I don't have a daughter."

Emily: "No, what's her name?"

Me: "Who's name?"

Emily: "Your daughters name!" {{aggravated by having to repeat herself}}

Me: "Emily, I don't have a daughter. I have 3 boys." {a bit annoyed she's rubbing it in}}

Emily: "Why you do that! I not do that."

Me: {{sigh}} "I hope you don't too."

You should have seen her big sister, Clara, at that age! Cody & Clara grew up like brother and sister and she was a riot (not to mention as cute as Emily)...Wendy's kids are so sassy & clever! Clara always gave me a run for the money and I adore her.

Di - I adore all of Drake's play dates. It gives me a break every other week for errands and projects to do alone. Also, they're just great kids. It keeps each day different and more fun for Drake and me.

Craft Closet Make Over

I've finally done it. After 2 years of living in this house, I've finally finished organizing the last closet in my home. This is the guest room closet that doubles as my "craft" closet. You could barely consider it a walk-in closet, but with 2 new shelves my man built for me over the weekend, it's got just enough space for what I need. Closet Before Closet Before - complete chaos ! After - view from hall (I used a different camera because mine is still broken. It was so hard to get these pics the space is so small. I hope you can get the idea.) Small shelf with hanging space for guests clothes - just above the door that goes to the attic. I spray painted 2 of these tins pink and glued flowers onto the other 3. Top Shelf Middle, 2 new shelves that Jason made and I painted white. I added these "curtains" to cover the other white bins and to make the space less messy. 1 Year Blogiversary

I can't believe it, as of Tuesday, I have been blogging for one year! On the outside not much has changed: I have 3 boys, live in the same house, my man has the same job, and I still go to Mavens, book club, and dinner club with the same fab friends. But in reality a lot has changed: * Davis has braces * Davis is now medicated * Dylan has been diagnosed with ADHD and is now medicated {{a hit to my ego}} * Finished Mommy & Me gymnastics with Drake * Drake is talking a little * Drake is in a big boy bed - although still not sleeping through the night * Jason's going to school to get his MBA * Executive Homemaker which took over a year to design and 5 years as a concept is 15 months old and has 2,333 members and growing at a rate of 300+ new members every month. * Executive Homemaker's online store has grown from three to 26 Mom- prenuers ! * Tip Junkie is 11 months old * My house is a little prettier and more organized * My Dad is divorced * My brother Scott came home...
