We're Kickin' It

I've been wanting to get the boys in martial arts for years.  We finally have some free time and some extra dough so I jumped at the opportunity to sign them up.

I'm hoping it will arm them with some new skills, physical discipline, and self-esteem.



So far it's going great!



Not only do they look uber handsome in their uniforms, they're taking it seriously and learning a lot.



I can't tell you how proud of these two I am. They've come a long way and are still the best of friends. I'm honored the Lord thought I would have what it takes to raise them. I had serious doubts for many years. The more responsibility I give them - the more they thrive. It's so fun to see.

LOVE the new blog look! And I've heard SO many great things about getting your kids in karate - I can't wait to do the same!! It's suppose to be SO good for them! I'm glad you're already seeing the results! And yeah, totally agree bout the handsomeness those gi's put out! Super cute!

I put my ADHD, OCD, ODD, etc, etc son in karate a year ago. WOW, what a difference it truly does make. He is now completely off of all medication and has learned self-control and self-discipline. Two things I thought would never happen. I can't wait to see how it goes for you guys.

Craft Closet Make Over

I've finally done it. After 2 years of living in this house, I've finally finished organizing the last closet in my home. This is the guest room closet that doubles as my "craft" closet. You could barely consider it a walk-in closet, but with 2 new shelves my man built for me over the weekend, it's got just enough space for what I need. Closet Before Closet Before - complete chaos ! After - view from hall (I used a different camera because mine is still broken. It was so hard to get these pics the space is so small. I hope you can get the idea.) Small shelf with hanging space for guests clothes - just above the door that goes to the attic. I spray painted 2 of these tins pink and glued flowers onto the other 3. Top Shelf Middle, 2 new shelves that Jason made and I painted white. I added these "curtains" to cover the other white bins and to make the space less messy. 1 Year Blogiversary

I can't believe it, as of Tuesday, I have been blogging for one year! On the outside not much has changed: I have 3 boys, live in the same house, my man has the same job, and I still go to Mavens, book club, and dinner club with the same fab friends.
