How do you warm up your home?

So my sister is building her first house in College Station, TX. Yeah!! (This picture has the same elevation her house will have). Since it's her first home she doesn't have a lot of furniture or decor so I've been giving her my advice on how to "warm" up her house. I think that the cheapest and easiest way to warm up a house is with wall color, greenery, and rugs. What do you think?

Absolutely! My husband does interiors and I am amazed at what a difference the right color pallete can make!

I think the quickest way to warm up a house is the window treatments. My last house I took forever deciding what to do and never got around to anything in the formal, what a mistake. This house I did the whole downstairs the month I moved in and it is so much better.

Craft Closet Make Over

I've finally done it. After 2 years of living in this house, I've finally finished organizing the last closet in my home. This is the guest room closet that doubles as my "craft" closet. You could barely consider it a walk-in closet, but with 2 new shelves my man built for me over the weekend, it's got just enough space for what I need. Closet Before Closet Before - complete chaos ! After - view from hall (I used a different camera because mine is still broken. It was so hard to get these pics the space is so small. I hope you can get the idea.) Small shelf with hanging space for guests clothes - just above the door that goes to the attic. I spray painted 2 of these tins pink and glued flowers onto the other 3. Top Shelf Middle, 2 new shelves that Jason made and I painted white. I added these "curtains" to cover the other white bins and to make the space less messy. 1 Year Blogiversary

I can't believe it, as of Tuesday, I have been blogging for one year! On the outside not much has changed: I have 3 boys, live in the same house, my man has the same job, and I still go to Mavens, book club, and dinner club with the same fab friends.
