A Fabulously Flawed Life

Tuesday night I was in charge of the craft night at church. I chose Katri's 2 step welcome plate. (1. Attach the floral stem with clear packing tape. 2. Rub on the vinyl.) It was fast, fun, and easy. I got the floral stem and oval plastic plate at Hobby Lobby .

I'm ending my Utah trip posts with my Lindsay Lohan impression at the Cirque Lodge. It's just a few blocks from Melissa's house. HA HA HA! Melissa insisted on taking us to the Mountain something or other for c aramel apples dipped in white chocolate then sprinkled with apple cinnamon. They were yummy! I've never been a caramel apple fan but I was converted. Our conversation turned to the fact that Melissa has a friend (or two) who are stingy and won't share their secret recipe for caramel apples, where the caramel actually stays on the apple. I assured her that if I knew anyone that had such a recipe, I'd find it for her. So here's my plea! If you have the coveted caramel apple recipe please share with me and put poor Melissa out of her misery. Apparently she's been attempting the impossible with several failed attempts . If needed, I'm fully willing to barter for the reciepe with a secret one of my own. {wink}

We had a BLAST!!! These ladies are amazing! I would hang out with any of these ladies in real life, any time. They're fun, gorgeous, engaging, and most importantly real. I obviously felt like I already knew them, but I was even more excited when our connection in real life was instant and comfortable. We didn't have any problems filling the conversation . We laughed, talked seriously, got to know each other better, were LOUD, and 2 hours later when the lunch was over - I realized I hadn't even asked any of the questions I had planned. At one point in the conversation someone asked me if I regretted posting about Heather being my Blog Crush ? I knew immediately the answer was No. I never even imagined that I would have had the opportunity to meet her, and because I took a risk by putt...

Lisa's Texas Hair (Before) Every 2 years when we are in Utah, Lisa gets her hair done. In fact, the last time she got her hair done was the last time we were there. It always turns out great because I am there for supervisions and direction. ;) This is after! Yeah. Leisl did Lisa’s hair at the David Douglas Salon in the Riverwoods . If you live close be sure to make an appointment. We couldn't believe the price (cheap!) and she did an amazing job. Friday was a fun day of shopping and lots of food! First off, Melissa surprised me with a belated birthday gift of all her favorite things. She used this idea I posted on Tip Junkie using a Sonic cup holder! It was so thoughtful and it meant so much to me that she not only was reading TipJunkie but also found it useful. Thanks Melissa!! I met up with Lisa in Houston and boarded the plane to Salt Lake City, Utah. The guy in front of us couldn't believe we were so excited about going to SLC so we had to come up with something better...Here We Come Las Vegas! We were on THE smallest plane I've ever been on and as my luck would have we were on the very last row, which happened to by the lavatory :( I don't know what the people on that plane ate but it was DISGUSTING! Don't people know plane etiquette? You only go #1!! The guy across from us was cupping the clean air and funneling it to his nose it got so bad. Thanks to Julianne , I've found a " Threader " to do my eyebrows. I usually get them waxed every 6 weeks when I go to get my hair done but lately that hasn't worked out very well. So, I've been sporting a unibrow for a while now. Just in case you haven't heard of threading before: Threading is more precise and the hair grows back thinner and slower. There is no burning, peeling or irritation, and is good for getting rid of in-grown hairs. Now my brows are perfectly shaped and trimmed. Life is good. Have you had your brows threaded?
